✦ Since 1984, he has served as President of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital Affiliated to Zhejiang Medical University for 14 years, and concurrently held the post of Deputy Party Secretary for the latter two terms.

✦ He has long been an academic leader in obstetrics and gynecology as well as gynecologic oncology in Zhejiang Province.

✦ He has been an expert receiving the Special Government Allowance of the State Council since 1991.

✦ Currently, he still acts as a consultant for multiple national and provincial academic societies, and serves as a consultant, honorary editor-in-chief, deputy editor-in-chief, standing editorial board member, editorial board member, and special reviewer for more than 10 domestic journals.

✦ He has successively won over 40 scientific and technological achievement awards at the national, ministerial, provincial, and prefectural levels, including the Third-Class National Science and Technology Award. He has publicly published over 1,000 medical papers and compiled 78 textbooks and professional reference books (as editor-in-chief or co-editor). Passionate about medical popularization, he has published nearly 500 popular science works and around 10 books.

✦ In 1993, approved by the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council, he established Zhejiang Province’s first doctoral program in obstetrics and gynecology and became the province’s first doctoral supervisor in this discipline.

✦ He has trained 75 doctoral and master’s students successively.

✦ He is a National Excellent Teacher, recipient of the First National Obstetrician and Gynecologist Award, National Advanced Worker in Maternal and Child Health, and National Popular Science Writer. Since 2010, he has served as a member of the Academic Committee of the "Encyclopedia of Chinese Medicine" and other positions.

✦ He was once hailed as one of the "Three Elites" in China’s obstetrics and gynecology field (the other two being Academician Lang Jinghe and the late Professor Li Mengda).

✦ He has traveled to Hong Kong, Taiwan, and many places on the mainland to perform and exchange experiences on "radical hysterectomy".

✦ In 1994, he personally organized and participated in the "gift baby" and "test-tube baby" projects, achieving success in a short period of time and filling the gap in Zhejiang Province. After completing his historical mission as president in discipline development and construction in Zhejiang, he handed over the work to young professionals, and one of his successors later became a Member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

✦ In 2023, he was awarded the "National Famous Doctor - Special Tribute", named one of the Top 10 Popular Science Figures of 2023 by Popular Medicine, and honored with the Outstanding Contribution Award for Cancer Control in Zhejiang Province.

✦ Currently, he still engages in outpatient services, consultations, surgeries, lectures, and academic exchange hosting across the province and beyond. He also serves as a journal editor, contributor, and manuscript organizer, and continues to compile gynecological monographs and popular science works, while leading academic exchange activities.
